This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the AirChips application ("the Application"), accessible as an Android app on the Google Play Store and as a Progressive Web App (PWA) at https://airchips.onrender.com/. The Application is created by JT Forge ("the Service Provider") as a free service. The Service Provider is committed to protecting your privacy. This service is provided "AS IS".
The Application is designed with user privacy as a core principle. The Application uses a "Local-First" architecture and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) synchronization. While the app communicates with a signaling server to connect players at the same table, it does not collect, upload, or share your personal data with the Service Provider.
To enable real-time synchronization between devices, the Application uses a temporary signaling server to help devices discover and connect to each other.
The Application primarily stores all game data generated by your use of the Application locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit personal information such as your name, email address, physical location, or IP address.
Device Identifier & Trial Tracking: To manage the 24-hour free hosting trial and prevent abuse, the Application generates or accesses a unique, anonymous device identifier. This identifier, along with the timestamp of your trial activation, is securely transmitted and stored in our Firebase database. This data is strictly used to verify trial eligibility and is not linked to any personal identity or used for tracking across other services.

This game information is stored in your device's sandbox memory using browser standard localStorage or local storage frameworks, and is never uploaded to any server or shared with third parties.
Camera Permission: The Application requests access to your device's camera. This permission is used strictly for scanning QR codes to quickly join local game rooms. The Application does not record video, capture photos for storage, or transmit any camera data or imagery to external servers. All QR code processing happens entirely locally on your device.
The Application does not include any third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising networks, or user tracking SDKs. No background network tracking takes place.
Because the Service Provider does not collect, store, or process any of your personal data on external servers, you exercise full control over your data directly on your device. You can manage, modify, or delete your data by managing the Application's local storage or clearing your device data.

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. Since the Application operates using a local-first P2P model and collects no personal data centrally, it does not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information from children.

The security of your local data relies on the physical and passcode security of your device. We encourage you to secure your device to protect your local session history and player profiles from unauthorized access.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Because the Application uses a local-first model, updates will not retroactively alter the way your existing local data is handled.
